Clip＠Proxyでエラーメールが返されます。（Transaction failed. It failed to parse the mail.）

Clip＠Proxyでメールを送ると、以下のようなエラーメールが返ってきました。原因は何でしょうか？
 
件名：
Delivery Status Notification (Failure)
 
本文：
The following message to <XXXXX@XXXX> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.3.0 - Other mail system problem 554-'Transaction failed. It failed to parse the mail.'

宛先のメールアドレスの形式が不正な可能性があります。
宛先のメールアドレスが正しく入力されているか確認してください。
 
不正な形式のメールアドレスの例）
'user@example.co.jp'　←メールアドレスがシングルクォーテーションで囲まれている。
user@example.co.j　←ドメインの末尾の「p」が欠けている。
 
※本事象はClip＠Proxyの認証方式が「メール認証」で、宛先のメールアドレスの形式が不正な場合に発生します。
